As Lockdown hit and the universities closed, I found myself without a studio space. I felt trapped inside my house both physically and mentally as I struggled to find a creative outlet. Painting channelled my frustrations. 'Festival 2020’ focuses on the opportunities Covid has denied so many by the cancellation of festivals and the uncertain future of live entertainment . It feels like the world pressed the pause button on 2020. I am sure we will reflect on this experience for the rest of our lives, not just for the things that happened but those that didn’t.
