Art under Lockdown was difficult since, as a mother of two young children, the whole weight of home-schooling, exercising and household chores fell on my shoulders. Studio time was night time, when everybody was in bed. My most recent work concerns landscape. During Lockdown I turned my eye to the unsung weeds by the side of the fences around the parks we visited. I also started to take screenshots of people’s gardens on social media.  A new body of work, small and made on my kitchen table, is emerging from these images.
